Catalyst Becomes Member of IACLEA
Montreal (June 20, 2014) – Catalyst Communications Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of Radio Control over IP solutions for voice dispatch and interoperability, has joined the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA). By joining the group as a corporate member, Catalyst is extending its service in Public Safety to the College and University communities. Catalyst will participate in the IACLEA Annual Conference and Exhibition in Montreal June 20th – 24th.
IACLEA advances public safety for educational institutions by providing educational resources, advocacy, and professional development services. IACLEA is the leading voice for the campus public safety community.
IACLEA was created by university security directors in 1958 to address job challenges and mutual problems and to create a clearinghouse for information and issues shared by campus public safety directors across the United States. Today, IACLEA membership represents more than 1,200 colleges and universities in 20 countries. In addition to the colleges and universities, which are institutional members, IACLEA has 2,000 individual memberships held by campus law enforcement staff, criminal justice faculty members, and municipal chiefs of police.
Catalyst has a history of providing critical communications solutions to educational institutions both directly and as part of a regional system, including the recent installation of its PropulsionÔ console at Wake Forest University (http://www.catcomtec.com/wake-forest-university-deploys-catalyst-dispatch-consoles-for-dmr.html). PropulsionÔ provides advanced voice calling and messaging on a graphics-rich critical communications platform. The console displays essential signaling like Unit ID and Emergency on the user interface, and dispatchers can select from hundreds of channels, place Individual Calls, and control scan on multiple donor radios. Interoperability with surrounding radio systems is accomplished from the same console platform. PropulsionÔ provides advanced control of Project 25, EDACS™, SMARTNET®, MDC-1200, DMR and other PTT systems.
Catalyst president Robin Grier said, “We are proud to be associated with such a fine organization as IACLEA and know that our interactions will result in better security options for campuses globally. Our participation in the Montreal Conference highlights our commitment to serving this market as we continue to introduce innovations that enhance the control of critical communications.”
