Daniels Electronics Ltd., a leading supplier of high reliability radio base stations and repeaters for remote public safety applications, today announced it has developed and demonstrated with Catalyst Communications Technologies, a leading provider of IP based dispatch solutions to the public safety mobile radio market, an open P25 digital interface between the two companies' products.  This integrated solution will offer additional functionality and enhanced features to P25 users of Daniels and Catalyst products.

Catalyst Communications Technologies, a leading provider of IP based dispatch and interoperability solutions to the public safety mobile radio market, introduced IP|25D™, a new capability that interfaces to the Daniels MT-4 Base Station and a new Daniels Universal Interface Card.  The new capability provides digital audio and digital control through an Ethernet interface.  Audio can be maintained in a digital format from the Dispatch position to the P25 portable radio, improving audio quality as analog to digital and digital to analog conversions that are common on the systems are eliminated.

Catalyst Communications Technologies, a leading provider of IP based dispatch and interoperability solutions to the public safety mobile radio market, introduced IP|M-Smart™, a new capability that provides Desktop Dispatch remote control of Motorola Astro Spectra™ and Astro Spectra™ Plus radios.  Land mobile radio users now have a Radio over IP solution with advanced control of SmartNet, P25, and conventional radios from any personal computer on the agency or community network.
