The 2005 CCTI benefits package for full-time employees consists of the following:

Medical Insurance:
Catalyst provides Anthem (Blue Cross) health insurance for all full-time employees. For 2005, the company pays 70% of employee premiums and 40% of dependent premiums.

Disability and Life Insurance:
Catalyst will purchase disability and life insurance assuming that you meet certain qualifications. Catalyst provides workers compensation insurance to all employees.

Vacation:
Accrues twice per month at a rate of 10 days per year for new employees. Accrual rate increases one day per year on your anniversary up to 20 days per year. You may carry over up to your annual rate to the next year.

Company Paid Holidays:
The 2005 holidays days are New Years Day (12/30/05), Memorial Day (5/30), Independence Day (7/4), Labor Day (9/5), Thanksgiving Day (11/24), Thanksgiving Friday (11/25), and 4 Days at Christmas (December 26 - 29).

Sick Leave Paid:
If you are sick, stay home and get well. See employee manual for limits on number of days allowed.

Retirement Plan:
The Catalyst retirement plan is similar to a 401-K. It currently matches the first 3% of your salary, dollar for dollar, that you contribute and allows you to defer up to $9,000 (2004 limit) per year of salary plus the 3% company match. You may begin making contributions in January 2005. The Catalyst SIMPLE IRA plan is currently managed through Charles Schwab, which has a large variety of mutual funds and common stocks that can be purchased.

Flextime:
Each individual may set his own hours with his or her supervisor's approval.

Direct Deposit:
Paychecks can be automatically deposited in your bank account each payday.

This benefits package may be amended from time to time.

Catalyst Introduced Console, Presented Technical Track at IWCE

Thursday, February 28

Catalyst once again introduced a ground-breaking innovation at IWCE. Robin Grier, the President of Catalyst, was joined by Major Steven Williams of the Florida Highway Patrol to discuss “Disaster Recovery, Pushing the Envelope with Wireless IP.”

The Florida Highway Patrol has created a Mobile Command Vehicle that provides the full functionality of a primary dispatch center with three independent methods of network connectivity to other locations – a first. FHP officers can drive the vehicle to any location – inside or outside the state -- and begin dispatching in minutes if a hurricane, fire, or other disaster disrupts or even completely eliminates the local facility. Discover how the Florida Highway Patrol provides a flexible response to evolving communications needs across the state, allowing first responders to link any of 500 talk groups and conventional channels for federal, state, and local agencies in virtually any combination, instantly. Management issues including operational and contingency plans will be discussed.
