Highlights
Change Groups: IP|Radio allows the PC user to change the EDACS® group or conventional channel on each fixed mobile radio. With this powerful control a single radio gateway can support multiple groups, one at a time. Only those PC users designated as “supervisors” may change groups.
Change Systems: IP|Radio allows the PC user to change the EDACS system or set of conventional channels on each fixed mobile radio. With this powerful control a single radio gateway can support multiple systems, one at a time. Only those PC users designated as “supervisors” may change systems.
View Name of Calling Radio: EDACS users can view the full name of the calling radio. The system administrator may assign a full first and last name to each radio logical ID (LID). This name will be displayed when the radio transmits. This name can also be used to address an individual call.
View Emergency Indication: When an EDACS radio declares an emergency, the IP|Radio display turns red and indicates the emergency status. The Call History and Global View windows also display the emergency indication.
Make Individual Calls: Call radios one-to-one using the EDACS individual call feature. The target radio can be chosen from a directory that includes first and last names, aliases, logical IDs (LIDs), and departments. PC users may sort on any column to quickly choose a target radio.
Access Centralized Database of Users: The directory of individual radios can be updated from a central location and automatically distributed to the Remote PCs. As new radio users are added to the system and individuals change jobs, your PC users can maintain an up-to-date list of field personnel and can contact them easily using the sort function.

Access History of Calls: IP|Radio provides a list of the last 32 calls for each radio gateway. The caller, callee, time, date, and type of call are all listed. PC users may review the history from one Radio Gateway while listening to the audio from another. Powerful sorting features are included in this window.

Newsflash |
Catalyst Introduced Console, Presented Technical Track at IWCEThursday, February 28Catalyst once again introduced a ground-breaking innovation at IWCE. Robin Grier, the President of Catalyst, was joined by Major Steven Williams of the Florida Highway Patrol to discuss “Disaster Recovery, Pushing the Envelope with Wireless IP.” The Florida Highway Patrol has created a Mobile Command Vehicle that provides the full functionality of a primary dispatch center with three independent methods of network connectivity to other locations – a first. FHP officers can drive the vehicle to any location – inside or outside the state -- and begin dispatching in minutes if a hurricane, fire, or other disaster disrupts or even completely eliminates the local facility. Discover how the Florida Highway Patrol provides a flexible response to evolving communications needs across the state, allowing first responders to link any of 500 talk groups and conventional channels for federal, state, and local agencies in virtually any combination, instantly. Management issues including operational and contingency plans will be discussed.
