IP|Tone™ uses tone control to interface with most other radios on the market, including Motorola (trunking and conventional), Daniels, and Relm radios. Download the product brochure.

Highlights

Provides Base Station Interface: IP|Tone routes audio to and from a base station or mobile radio using Voice over IP. Audio can be simultaneously routed to multiple PCs using an existing Wide Area Network (WAN).

Use Standard Tone Control: Use Standard EIA tones as specified by your system administrator. IP|Tone allows the amplitude, duration, and frequency of each Guard, Function, and Hold Tone to be uniquely defined.

Change Groups or Channels: IP|Tone allows the PC user to change the group or conventional channel on each base station or fixed mobile radio. With this unique control a single radio gateway can support multiple groups, one at a time. Only those PC users designated as “supervisors” may change groups.

Dial-In From Home, Another City, etc.: Catalyst products allow authorized personal to dial-in from home, from another city, or simply from a local office building that has lost its normal connection. Use this unique capability to listen to the voice traffic in real-time during an incident or trouble-shoot a problem with the radio system from a hotel room or remote meeting site.

Access History of Calls: IP|Tone provides a list of the last 32 calls for each radio gateway. The caller, callee, time, date, and duration of call are all listed. PC users may review the history from one Radio Gateway while listening to the audio from another. Powerful sorting features are included in this window.

Catalyst Introduced Console, Presented Technical Track at IWCE

Thursday, February 28

Catalyst once again introduced a ground-breaking innovation at IWCE. Robin Grier, the President of Catalyst, was joined by Major Steven Williams of the Florida Highway Patrol to discuss “Disaster Recovery, Pushing the Envelope with Wireless IP.”

The Florida Highway Patrol has created a Mobile Command Vehicle that provides the full functionality of a primary dispatch center with three independent methods of network connectivity to other locations – a first. FHP officers can drive the vehicle to any location – inside or outside the state -- and begin dispatching in minutes if a hurricane, fire, or other disaster disrupts or even completely eliminates the local facility. Discover how the Florida Highway Patrol provides a flexible response to evolving communications needs across the state, allowing first responders to link any of 500 talk groups and conventional channels for federal, state, and local agencies in virtually any combination, instantly. Management issues including operational and contingency plans will be discussed.
