Catalyst and RELM provide innovative solutions for Project 25 and conventional radio communications. Catalyst provides an intelligent interface to the RELM S Series Repeater to provide features like P25 Unit ID, Emergency, Alert, and Unit Enable/Disable as well as interoperability between the disparate PTT systems. Catalyst also has advanced control of the RELM KNG mobile radio base station for conventional P25 supporting features such as Unit ID as well as analog. Catalyst also has advanced control of the RELM DMH mobile radios for P25 conventional, P25 trunking, and analog. Using this donor radio, Catalyst can route the Unit ID from legacy and current subscriber radios to the P25 subscriber unit’s display. This innovation leverages the messaging capabilities of the P25 Digital Fixed Station Interface (DFSI) standard to deliver Unit ID information to a device manufactured by RELM Wireless Corporation and then on to P25 subscriber radios using the P25 Common Air Interface (CAI) Standard. This was the first time legacy radio Unit IDs have been available to P25 subscriber radios without expensive, limiting infrastructure.
